Senior Company
Students Age 14+ (by July 8, 2024)
Advanced Skillset/Technique
Senior members are required to take two or more ballet technique classes per week, plus one additional class in the style of their choice.
Dancers cast in a role en pointe are required to take at least one hour of pointe work per week in addition to Senior Company requirements.
Apprentice Company
Students Age 10-13 (by July 8, 2024)
Intermediate Skillset/Technique
Apprentice members are required to take one or more ballet technique class per week, plus one additional class in the style of their choice.
General Information
Students who accept their roles must be enrolled in Summer classes in order to confirm their place in the production season.
Members of the company are required to attend FYDC's Intensive Week and maintain 90 percent attendance or higher. All in-venue tech and dress rehearsals are mandatory.
FYDC studio time consists of warm up, devotions, worship and production rehearsal. Students are setting, practicing and perfecting a performance, not being taught a class. As such, students are required to attend separate weekly classes in order to maintain and improve their technique and prevent injury during the season. If requirements are fulfilled outside of Turning Pointe Dance, class and studio information must be provided to the Director, FYDC.
