Serve in FYDC'S
2024 Season
It takes a village to put on a show, and we'd love for you to be a part of ours!
Volunteering with FYDC is a great opportunity for anyone looking to build their resume in theater, dance, missions or ministry, students needing to complete volunteer hours,
or anyone with a heart for spreading the gospel.
Pre-Performance Volunteer Teams
Pre-performance volunteers help create aspects of the production that need to be completed by mid-season. These elements include costumes, accessories, props, and set pieces that students need to use in rehearsal prior to the performance. Pre-performance volunteers meet each week during rehearsal throughout August and September.
Costumes
Work with the Costume Captain to outfit our performance! Help to create new and alter existing costumes, or help with fittings, trim and accessories.
Props & Sets
Work with the Stage Manager to create the pieces that bring each scene to life! Help with building and engineering, or painting and purchasing.
Production Month Volunteer Teams
Production month volunteers assist with the timing and flow of each performance through elements that need to be rehearsed in-studio prior to the show. These elements include costume changes, hair and makeup changes, and prop/set piece changes. Production month volunteers attend all October and November rehearsals.
Backstage
Work with the Backstage Captain on the team behind the team! Assist with quick changes and hair and makeup, or keep things clean and organized.
Stage Crew
Work with the Stage Manager to set the stage for each performance... literally! You'll orchestrate set changes and set the props backstage for each show.
Performance Week Volunteer Teams
Performance week volunteers assist with the elements that make the audience experience a success. These elements include venue load in/load out, greeters, ushers, and table attendants. Performance week volunteers attend all in-venue tech/dress rehearsals and shows during performance week in November.
Load In/Load Out
Work with the Performance Captain to bring rehearsals to the stage! Assist with prop, set and costume transportation on load-in/load-out days.
Front of House
Work with the Performance Captain as a director of first impressions! Work as a greeter, usher or table attendant, or help setup/decorate the lobby.
